LEGACY TOYOTA OF DALLAS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Department Trainee to join our team! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the automotive industry and learn the ins and outs of a dealership's parts department from the ground up.

 

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED equivalent required. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and processing parts orders.
  • Verifying shipments for accuracy and quantity.
  • Stocking incoming inventory in the correct locations.
  • Assisting experienced Parts Department personnel with various tasks, such as filling orders and maintaining inventory records.
  • Learning and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the parts department.
  • Providing support in other areas of the Parts Department as needed for cross-training and future advancement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership systems.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
  • A combination of education and experience a PLUS!
  • Ability to multi task different duties to learn all aspects of the parts department.
